Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Guide

Vault of Glass, the first raid that Guardians took part in, is now live in Destiny 2. Veterans and newcomers will have a chance to tackle multiple encounters, including bosses such as the Templar and Atheon. Here’s our guide to help you complete the Vault of Glass raid in Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer.

Destiny 2 Vault of Glass raid guide

Since there are several encounters in Destiny 2‘s Vault of Glass raid, I’ve split up this guide into multiple parts. You can refer to the pages below for the parts that you need help with:

  • Forming the Spire
  • Trial of Kabr
  • Conflux and Oracle encounters
  • Templar boss fight
  • Gorgon’s Maze
  • Gatekeeper boss fight
  • Atheon boss fight
Note 1: Contest mode is currently active for the first 24 hours which means all players will be at 1,300 power level (PL). However, enemies are 20 levels higher than you, so you need to be careful.
Note 2: For the sake of clarity, the raid became available at 1 a.m. in my timezone, so I’ll update our Vault of Glass guide in a short while.

Forming the Spire

You’ll need to form the spire to enter the Vault of Glass raid in Destiny 2.

Team positions

Split up your team into three groups of two players each. Players will need to stand on the three plates at different sections of the area (left, middle, and right).

While this is going on, several Vex mobs will spawn, including hobgoblins and minotaurs. They’ll try to beeline for the plate and, once they’re on top of it, your progress will be delayed. Keep them off the plates so you can fully charge the spire. Likewise, watch out for cyclopes that appear at intervals since they can easily one-shot you.

Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Guide 1a

Suggested loadouts

Witherhoard and Anarchy are fairly decent options here since they can lock down a section of the map, damaging mobs that pass through their effects.

Try to have a Void weapon as well so you can quickly take out the minotaur’s shield.

Note: This opening encounter isn’t a Darkness zone, so players can respawn as often as possible.

Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Guide 1b

When you’re done, go ahead and enter the Vault of Glass. You’ll spot a chest with spoils and raid mods.

Anyway, let’s go to the next part of our guide to talk about the Trial of Kabr jumping section. You can find a secret chest there.

Trial of Kabr secret chest

The Trial of Kabr is a fairly short jumping section. There’s a normal pathway that you can take and it’s fairly visible. It’ll lead all the way to the encounter area for the Oracles/Conflux and Templar fights.

However, if you wish to pick up another chest, you can take the secret passageway. Instead of going to the left side with the large cavern and platforming blocks, take a look at the right and you’ll notice a chasm.

Drop down with your back to the chasm and you’ll spot a small cubbyhole.

D2 Sospl Vog Gd 2b

Follow this passageway through the inner caverns and, eventually, you’ll reach the second chest. It contains spoils and a possible raid mod.

All right, since we’ve talked about spoils chests, let’s discuss the chests that do provide raid loot. Head to the next part of our Vault of Glass guide to deal with the Conflux and Oracle encounters.

Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Conflux Oracles Guide

After you get past the jumping section in the Trials of Kabr, you’ll find yourself in a large cavern called the Templar’s Well. Here, you’ll need to complete the Conflux and Oracle encounters which are technically part of the multi-stage Templar fight. These are fairly easy romps that shouldn’t cause too many issues as long as your team is prepared. Still, do remember that the Templar, a gigantic Vex hydra, will still be shooting at you and your teammates if you’re out in the open. Here’s our guide to help you with the Conflux and Oracle encounters in Destiny 2‘s Vault of Glass raid.
Note: For more information about Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer, check out our guides and features hub. You can also read our main guide for the Vault of Glass raid.

Destiny 2 Vault of Glass – Conflux and Oracle encounters guide

Completing the Conflux encounter

In the Templar’s Well area, there are several pillars and a huge gap with more platforms off to the sides. You can’t actually stay on the faraway platforms since a timer will count down and eventually kill you.

Anyway, your objective here is to defend the confluxes (Vex pylons) that’ll spawn. Try to prevent mobs such as wyverns, goblins, fanatics, and Overload minotaurs from reaching the active confluxes. Similar to the Garden of Salvation raid, if several Vex mobs (i.e., around four) sacrifice on a conflux, your team will wipe.

Note: Wyverns and fanatics will create a pool of Vex milk when they die. Stepping in these pools will give you a debuff called the Mark of Negation. If you still have the debuff when the Templar does its Ritual of Negation cast, you’ll die. As such, you need to run to a plate at the bottom of the central area to get cleansed. However, since the cleansing pool will disappear for a while once it’s used, you’ll want to step on it along with other teammates who are also marked.

D2 Sospl Vog Gd Conforc 1

This is how the encounter will progress:

  • One conflux in the middle near the spawn point needs to be defended.
  • Two confluxes at the left and right sides need to be defended.
  • You’ll need to watch all three confluxes this time.
Suggested loadouts

Anarchy is one of the best exotic options here since you can just shoot a few electric grenades at spawn points to kill most mobs that appear.

In any case, you should be done after a short while. You’ll receive your raid/pinnacle loot.

D2 Sospl Vog Gd Conforc 2

Completing the Oracles encounter

After the Conflux encounter, you’ll have to handle the Oracles. These are light blue entities that spawn on different spots on the map:

  • Three on the right – At the back, at the middle next to a pillar, and at the front near the stairs.
  • Three on the left – At the back, at the middle next to a pillar, and near the front corner.
  • One in the middle – It’s near where you plant the rally flag.
The objective is to destroy the Oracles in the order that they spawn. The first set will have three, followed by a short interval, and then four will appear. You’ll need to keep doing this until the very end when seven Oracles spawn in sequence.

Note 1: If you kill Oracles in the wrong order, the entire team will be Marked for Negation. Everyone has to touch the plate at roughly the same time to get cleansed before the Templar does its Ritual of Negation spell. Otherwise, the cleansing pool will disappear and players who are late might end up dead.

Note 2: There are also Vex minotaurs and hobgoblins that spawn. The hobgoblins can be annoying since they’re at the distant platforms and they can easily two-shot you if you’re out in the open.

D2 Sospl Vog Gd Conforc 3

Suggested loadouts and Oracle Killer cheese spots

In our team’s case, we decided to number the Oracles from 1 to 7 starting from the back right going clockwise. I also used a small cubbyhole on the right side of the map (seen below).

From here, it’s possible to see the three Oracles on the right side, as well as the ones at the back left and middle left.

Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Conflux Oracles Guide 2a

Anarchy and Void weapons are good for minotaurs, though you might need a scout rifle to take care of the hobgoblins. As for the Oracles, they can be easily killed with a single shot from the Xenophage.

If you have one person with line-of-sight on most of them (from the cubbyhole), that player can eliminate most of the threats. Meanwhile, other teammates will just handle the mobs and any Oracles that aren’t readily seen (i.e., #4/middle and #5/front left).

Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Conflux Oracles Guide 2b

Cheesing using the hiding spot at the ceiling

Another decent hiding spot solely for Oracle killing is at the ceiling. You can reach it by jumping on the pillars at the back of the room. There’s a very thin ledge here that you can climb on until you reach the cubbyhole at the top.

Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Conflux Oracles Guide 3a

From here, you should be able to see the Oracles on the left side, middle, and bottom-right locations. The ones at the back right and middle right aren’t that visible. You’ll also need to beware of the “death timer” as you attempt to cross from one area to the next.

Anyway, don’t forget, the final sequence will have seven Oracles spawning, so it can be a little hectic. Just clear comms and listen to callouts, and you should be done in no time. You’ll get another chest with raid/pinnacle loot.

All right, let’s go ahead and discuss the next encounter. It’s none other than the Templar boss fight.

Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Templar Boss Guide Feat

The Templar battle might’ve been preceded by a couple of encounters that gave you a quick glance at the mechanics, but it’s now time to fight the boss itself. The encounter has important concepts such as detainment, teleports, and extra mobs that can make it a brutal affair. In any case, here’s our guide to help you with the Templar boss fight in Destiny 2‘s Vault of Glass raid.
Note: For more information about Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer, check out our guides and features hub. You can also read our main guide for the Vault of Glass raid.

Destiny 2 Vault of Glass – Templar boss fight guide

The basics
Once someone picks up the relic in the area, the Templar boss fight will begin. The objective here is to destroy three Oracles that spawn in order, have the relic holder break the Templar’s shield, get everyone to deal damage to the boss, and then prepare for any possible teleports and mobs.
Team roles
  • Relic Holder – The relic holder is the most important role in the Vault of Glass’ Templar boss fight. After picking up the relic, the player will notice various new actions such as a melee swipe/ground slam (left click), a cleanse (hold the grenade button), and a super bar. I’ll talk more about these in a while.
  • Oracle Killer (optional) – Technically, everyone can kill the Oracles that spawn. However, designated players can just hide inside the cubbyholes and use the Xenophage to take out the most visible ones. You can see one particular cheesing spot from the ceiling in the next image.
  • Everyone else – The rest of the raid group should just help clear adds and any Oracles that the assigned player cannot see.
Note: Use the same cheese spots and numbering for Oracles from the previous encounter (i.e., #1 starting from the back right going clockwise) to have clearer callouts and line-of-sight.
Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Templar Boss Guide 1
How the fight progresses and suggested loadouts

Start by destroying the three Oracles in order. The Templar should then begin its Ritual of Negation cast. The first cast wouldn’t matter since no one should be debuffed if you killed the Oracles in the correct order.
Oh, and while the Oracles are being killed, the relic holder should be meleeing a few mobs to fully charge their super meter. Then, once everyone is in position, the relic holder will use the super to fire a blast that would break the Templar’s shield. This lets the fireteam do DPS.
Ideally, you should have the following:
  • Titans – Banner Shield with Ursa Furiosa.
  • Warlocks – Well of Radiance with Lunafaction Boots.
  • Hunters – Golden Gun with Celestial Nighthawk.
  • Double slug shotguns or sniper rifles with the Vorpal Weapon perk and Boss Spec mod.
  • Anarchy exotic grenade launcher – Ideally, at least one player in the fireteam should have the Breach & Clear artifact mod to debuff the boss.
  • If you have an Oracle Killer that’s hiding in a cheese spot, they should use the Xenophage to one-shot the Oracles. You could also brute force the encounter (i.e., ignore the next set of Oracles). I’ll explain more in a while.
Note: Your first DPS phase position should be on the ledges fairly close to the boss (the Banner Shield and Well of Radiance should keep you alive). Also, this position will let you stay away from exploding fanatics. Remember that they’ll still create Vex milk pools that’ll debuff you with the Mark of Negation. Your only recourse is to run to the central plate to get cleansed since the relic’s ability no longer removes the mark.
Note 2: You should be able to deplete at least 40 to 50% of the Templar’s health pool in a single DPS phase. You might even get close to a one-phase if everyone’s on point.
Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Templar Boss Guide 2
Detainment and blocking the teleports
One more thing you have to remember is that the Templar will detain three random people in a bubble. When detained, you’re unable to shoot to break your own shield. Instead, you need to rely on teammates to shoot your shield for you. If you try to quickly dash outside the bubble, or if your detainment isn’t removed in time, you’ll die. It’s possible for the relic holder to get detained, too, so make sure to break their bubble quickly. Also, if you’re using a rocket launcher and you get detained just prior to firing, there’s a good chance that you’ll die to the explosion.
Likewise, the relic holder has to roam around the map, looking for a red circle that denotes where the Templar would teleport to. If the relic holder can stand inside the red circle for a few seconds, they’ll block the Templar’s teleport which extends the DPS phase. The relic holder can simply hold the grenade button to pop a shield to negate all damage while they’re on the spot.
Ideally, the relic holder should block two teleports so the team can have a fairly lengthy DPS phase. Also, several minotaurs will spawn depending on the number of times the teleport was canceled. You have two options from this point onwards. First, you can choose to clear the mobs, especially the half dozen or so minotaurs that have appeared. While this is going on, remember that the next set of Oracles will spawn soon, so make sure to do your callouts accordingly.
Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Templar Boss Guide 3a
Alternatively, you can brute force the encounter by ignoring the next sets of Oracles. This is viable if your team has decent loadouts and everyone’s on point, or once the 24-hour contest mode is over and you’re no longer hampered by being at a lower level compared to enemies. For this one, just let the relic holder block as many teleports as possible (crossing back and forth each side by cutting through the spawn point, like a “U” movement).
Continue damaging the boss even if the Oracles appear. Then, once the Templar is about to cast the Ritual of Negation, the team will move to the cleansing plate and do a countdown before stepping on it. You may even let the relic holder shield you from enemy fire while on the cleansing plate. After this short transition, the relic holder, Titans, and Warlocks will just state when they have their supers so you can be ready to burst the Templar’s remaining sliver of health.
Note 1: If you can’t get an ideal DPS position (i.e., the middle or back areas), or if teammates don’t have their supers/ammo yet, just stay near the cleansing plate. Kill a few mobs and let a round of negation/cleansing pass. The relic holder will just blast the Templar so that it can teleport to a more preferable spot, and everyone will just prep to nuke it when possible.
Note 2: Lastly, the Templar will enrage if the boss fight takes longer than eight minutes. It’ll repeatedly summon more Oracles that’d make cleansing more hectic.
After you’ve beaten the Templar, it’s time to head through the Gorgon’s Maze. We’ll talk about this area in the next section of our Vault of Glass raid guide.

Gorgon’s Maze and the Jumping Puzzle

After finishing the Templar, the team will find a chasm that leads to the Gorgon’s Labyrinth or Gorgon’s Maze.

This is a vast cave system filled with many passageways and hidden paths. However, it’s also the home of Gorgons, unique Vex harpies that can detect you. If they manage to spot a player (even those who are making a lot of noise by sprinting), their gaze will be fixed on that person. You can try to pour as much DPS as possible within a few seconds, but it’s likely that the fireteam will wipe.

To be fair, it’s better to follow a player who has memorized the layout since it’s a lot harder to explain it just via images alone. You may also ask Hunters to throw a smoke bomb to make everyone temporarily invisible.

D2sospl Vog Temp Gd Gorgon

There’s also a secret chest here that you can pick up by shooting the Vex boxes without getting detected in a single run. You can watch the video below from Destiny 2 YouTuber Luckyy 10P.

Anyway, once you’ve made it past the Gorgons, you’ll reach another surreal area with a jumping puzzle. Past this point, you’ll be going up against the Gatekeeper.

Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Gatekeeper Guide

After getting past the Templar and the Gorgon’s Maze, you’ll eventually come across a wide-open area with an ominous-looking Vex gate far ahead. This is where you’ll fight the Gatekeepers, followed by Atheon. Both encounters have a few mechanics and locations that are quite similar. In any case, here’s our guide to help you with the Gatekeeper encounter in Destiny 2‘s Vault of Glass raid.
Note: For more information about Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer, check out our guides and features hub. You can also read our main guide for the Vault of Glass raid.

Destiny 2 Vault of Glass – Gatekeeper encounter guide

The objective of the Gatekeeper encounter in Destiny 2‘s Vault of Glass raid is to take out the mobs that spawn, especially the first Gatekeeper (unique Vex hydra) that’s right in front of the “plaza” (the open area). When the first Gatekeeper dies, it’ll drop the relic (similar to what you used during the Templar boss fight). From here, players will simply complete their tasks depending on their roles.

Team roles

Divide your team into two groups of three players each:

  • Outside team – Players will simply clear out the mobs that’ll continue to spawn in the regular fight area. Two players stand on the Vex plates on both sides to open up the teleporters. The third can simply roam around and help out with mobs.
  • Portal team – This team will have tasks that are slightly more complicated. You’ll want to send one player (add-clearer) through each portal. The third player will pick up the relic dropped by the Gatekeeper.
Note 1: The portals are usually called “left/Mars” and “right/Venus.” These are the same callouts used for the Atheon fight as well.

Note 2: Based on experience, the Praetorian minotaur (more about this enemy in a while) usually spawns first in Venus. As such, it’s better for the relic holder to go inside the right side portal early in the fight.

D2 Sospl Vog Gd Gtkp 1

Outside team tasks and suggested loadouts

Have players stand on both plates to keep the portals active and make sure that Vex hostiles don’t get near. There are also Overload minotaurs, so you’ll want to have Artifact mods that can disrupt them (i.e., Overload Submachinegun). It’s also a good idea to use The Lament or Anarchy to quickly handle the Overload minotaurs.

Watch out for an additional Gatekeeper that spawns periodically throughout the encounter. It’ll usually move to the middle platform and you’ll need to burst it down. Otherwise, it’ll keep the portals deactivated.

D2 Sospl Vog Gd Gtkp 2

Inside team/relic holder tasks and suggested loadouts

Both the left/Mars and right/Venus locations have a conflux. Similar to an earlier encounter, you’ll need to defend them from a multitude of Vex enemies. If they sacrifice, your team will wipe.

The mobs (i.e., goblins, wyverns, and Praetorian minotaurs) will spawn at the large gate going to the conflux, so you can usually funnel them while shooting. Ideally, your inside team should be comprised of Warlocks (Well of Radiance) or Hunters (Stasis Freeze or Tether) to help with survivability or crowd control.

Now, assuming the relic holder also went inside Venus early, the add-clearing player should have backup there. Here’s what needs to happen:

  • The Praetorian minotaur usually spawns in Venus first. The relic holder will need to kill it.
  • Drop the relic and let the other player pick it up. The player will then use the teleporter and go to Mars since the next Praetorian will spawn there.
  • After that Praetorian is dead, drop the relic and let the Mars player pick it up and bring it to Venus.
  • You’ll continue swapping the relic around as a trio. This is because of a debuff that prevents a player from using the teleporter after they’ve just killed a Praetorian.
Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Gatekeeper Guide 1

Continue doing this until six Praetorian minotaurs have been eliminated, and a new conflux at the wide-open space/plaza will appear. Defend it since countless Vex enemies (including wyverns and Praetorian minotaurs) will pop up too. Let the relic holder handle the Praetorians while the rest of the team clears all other mobs. When you’re done with the Gatekeeper encounter, you’ll receive another raid/pinnacle drop.

All right, let’s go ahead and discuss Atheon, the final boss of Destiny 2‘s Vault of Glass raid, in the next part of our guide series.

Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Gatekeeper Guide 2

Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Atheon Boss Guide

You’ve defeated the Templar and cleared the Gatekeeper encounter. Now, it’s time to face off against the “big bad” of the Vault of Glass raid. It’s none other than Atheon, Time’s Conflux, a gigantic Vex gate lord that’s set to annihilate your team. Here’s our guide to help you with the Atheon boss fight in Destiny 2‘s Vault of Glass raid.
Note: For more information about Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer, check out our guides and features hub. You can also read our main guide for the Vault of Glass raid.

Destiny 2 Vault of Glass – Atheon boss fight guide

The Atheon boss fight in Destiny 2‘s Vault of Glass raid takes place in the same area where you finished the Gatekeeper encounter. As such, you should be slightly familiar with the layout of the normal area, as well as the teleport locations (Mars/left and Venus/right).

At the start, try to avoid Atheon’s torch hammer blasts since the weapon can two-shot you easily if you’re out in the open. Just stay at the sides, clearing out the harpies that appear.

Note: Kill the harpies that are close to the ground. As for those that are floating higher in the air, you can leave one alive so Atheon doesn’t spawn additional sets.

If you’re left outside: Watching out for supplicants and doing callouts for the Oracles

Eventually, Atheon will send three players to a random location (either Mars or Venus). The three other players will be left outside.

Here’s what needs to happen. First, the teleported players will call out their new location. One player from the outside team will stand on the pillar that’s on the plate to activate the teleporter for that location. The outside players should also clear more harpy mobs, including supplicants (exploding harpies) which can instantly kill you.

D2 Sospl Vog Ath Bss Gd 1

However, the most important factor to remember would be the red Oracles that spawn in mid-air. Similar to previous encounters, a set of three Oracles will spawn at intervals. There are six spots that they can appear at. Ideally, you’ll want the entire fireteam to be on the same page as to how they’re called out/numbered. In our case, we decided to start from the front left (closer to the Mars teleporter) going counter-clockwise to the back left (closer to Atheon). You can refer to the image below.

Note: At least one outside player needs to do callouts for the Oracles that appear, and most will be visible when you’re on one of the ledges at the back (close to your spawn point). Atheon won’t shoot at you while the Oracle phase is happening, but some harpies might still damage you.

Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Atheon Boss Guide Oracle Map 1

If you got teleported: Taking the relic, killing the Oracles, and cleansing the blindness

The three players who got teleported will notice a relic once they spawn in. Have one player pick this up and use it to beat down the mobs. Additional enemies will spawn from the portals, so make sure you smack them around fast, especially the Praetorian minotaurs.

Likewise, the relic holder has an additional task, and that’s periodically cleansing allies by holding down the grenade button. You’ll need to be quick or your friends could go blind.

Note: If you’re not carrying the relic, try to be close to the other player so the cleanse’s area-of-effect applies to both of you.

D2 Sospl Vog Ath Bss Gd 2

What about the players who don’t have the relic? Well, their job is to listen to the Oracle callouts from the outside team. It’s imperative that you destroy the Oracles in the correct order since a single mistake will cause a wipe.

The Mars/Venus locations actually mirror Atheon’s arena (only the color schemes and foliage are different). As such, you can follow the numbering in the map shown earlier.

  • Some teams like to shoot the Oracles from the center (where the Hydra dies). Just remember to spin around a bit in case you need to shoot the Oracles that are behind you (i.e., those at the long stairs/large gateway).
  • Other teams, meanwhile, like to rush to the floating platform in the middle. This will mean that all Oracles are in front of you (as you face the long stairs/large gateway). You can see this example in the image below.
Note 1: The Xenophage can one-shot Oracles easily, but it’s not the best exotic for the DPS phase. If you wish to keep your exotic slot free, you can use scout rifles to take them out. The relic holder can even drop the relic to help shoot them, or get the relic’s super charged to blast one target.

Note 2: There are three sets with three Oracles each that you need to handle. Once all nine Oracles have been destroyed, cleanse the players close to the teleporter, run outside, and start the DPS phase. You might need to cleanse your teammates again once you’re at the designated DPS spot.

Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Atheon Boss Guide Oracle Map 2

The DPS phase: Time’s Vengeance buff, detainment, and suggested loadouts

With all nine Oracles dead, the team will receive the Time’s Vengeance buff. This signals the start of the DPS phase for the Atheon boss fight. Still, this phase is fairly short and hectic, and you really need to burst the boss down. Here are some suggestions:

  • Titans – Thundercrash with Cuirass of the Fallen Star.
  • Warlocks – At least one Well of Radiance; the rest should use Nova Bomb with Nezarec’s Sin.
  • Hunters – Golden Gun with Celestial Nighthawk or Blade Barrage with Shards of Galanor.
  • Anarchy tends to deal a lot of consistent damage if you hit the boss or the ground near it. The Salvager’s Salvo might also help if need be.
The Time’s Vengeance buff speeds up the recharge rate of all your abilities, including grenades and supers. Likewise, you’ll want Paradrome Cube artifact mods like Blast Radius (everyone) and Breach & Clear (at least two to three fireteam members who use grenade launchers). There are also other mods such as Taking Charge and Energy Converter. A combination of Nova Bomb (with Nezarec’s Sin) or Blade Barrage (with Shards of Galanor), plus Blast Radius, Taking Charge, and Energy Converter can help you regenerate your super back, especially if Anarchy shots/supers also end up killing the harpy mobs.

Note 1: Since Titans will need to Thundercrash immediately so they have enough time to get their super back, they should never carry the relic as it wastes precious seconds. Ideally, whoever’s carrying the relic should drop it near everyone so it can be picked up by a Warlock using Well of Radiance (the only one who isn’t spamming damage-dealing supers). Also, as far as I can tell, regular supers deal more damage than the relic’s own super.

Note 2: Oh, and don’t forget, you need to watch out for detainment (which targets one player). After a few seconds, the detainment will trap the player and all other allies near them. You have to check the bottom-left corner of your HUD to see if you’re the one that’s being targeted so you can move a bit further away. Your teammates will just shoot you out of your own detainment bubble when they can.

Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Raid Atheon Boss Guide 1a

Lastly, let’s talk about the DPS spots and transitioning back to the regular phase. Some groups do like to use the middle platform, while others like to be spread out. There are also cases wherein groups might wish to DPS in front of a portal (the one that the teleported team exits from). This is a viable strategy since it slightly speeds up the DPS and your Anarchy, grenades, and supers hit more mobs (to help recharge your super again). The only threats here are the supplicants that can swerve towards you, but they can be dealt with as they’re moving closer.

Anyway, after one DPS phase, you should’ve taken out a chunk of Atheon’s health. Repeat the same process with the teleports, Oracle callouts, and relic cleansing a couple more times until Atheon’s dead. Congratulations on clearing the normal mode of Destiny 2‘s Vault of Glass raid, and good luck on getting the Vex Mythoclast while you’re at it.
